Thorpe Hall School celebrated winning another prestigious sports award in November when it was recognised in this year’s Southend City Activity Awards as the KS2 Sports School of the Year 2022.
Two of our Prep School pupils, Archie and Evie, attended a special event at the Civic Centre accompanied by Prep Sports Lead, Mrs Durban. A broad variety of awards celebrated and acknowledged many different sporting achievements of individuals, clubs and schools in Southend.
Our trophy and certificate was presented by Councillor Stephen Habermel, Southend’s Deputy Mayor. It was a wonderful experience for our pupils and another great boost for Prep School sport – which continues to go from strength to strength.
Preparatory School pupils at Thorpe Hall benefit from specialist sports teaching and access to a broad programme of co-curricular clubs and activities. There are many opportunities for individuals and teams to compete with a busy fixtures list across all age ranges and in all sporting disciplines. These oppotunities for inter-schools sport are further extended through our strong links with the Southend Primary Schools Sports Association and the Independent Schools Association.
