As a fully inclusive, co-educational school, we are proud to celebrate our students’ excellent all-round achievements, and the enormous value we add to their learning, from Nursery to GCSE.
We challenge our pupils to outperform, whatever their ability. We seek out individual talents and actively encourage the best in everyone. At Thorpe Hall School, all students are motivated to enjoy a myriad of new and exciting opportunities and experiences. We pride ourselves on the individual attention we offer every child, whatever their age and whatever their needs.
Our mission is clear, our promise secure, and our commitment is genuine and unwavering. We are a school that listens, and every child’s voice is heard. Our open-door approach helps foster a refreshingly honest, active and forward-thinking school community.
This website will give you a first glimpse of the Thorpe Hall adventure, but the School is best experienced in person. You are most welcome to visit us for a tour of our School and a chat with our team.
We look forward to meeting your family.

Rosie in Year 5, alongside her mum and brother, formed a brilliant team for the National Swimathon, swimming an impressive 5K to raise money for Cancer Research UK, Marie Curie, and The Swimathon Foundation.
This challenge held special meaning for Rosie, who sadly lost a family member, Stephen, to brain cancer last year. She was determined to take part in his memory and what an incredible tribute it was.
Together, the team raised an amazing £518. We’re so proud of you, Rosie!

Mr George Capon attended Thorpe Hall School in the 1940s, moving to the school after a tragic bombing at Chalkwell School.
As part of the school's centenary celebrations, we spoke to Mr Capon about his long and vital history with Thorpe Hall School - as a student during war time, a parent, a chairman and director - and about how his industrious efforts in the 70s saved the school from closure.
We are delighted to release the first chapter of his story on this significant day -the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
