As a fully inclusive, co-educational school, we are proud to celebrate our students’ excellent all-round achievements, and the enormous value we add to their learning, from Nursery to GCSE.
We challenge our pupils to outperform, whatever their ability. We seek out individual talents and actively encourage the best in everyone. At Thorpe Hall School, all students are motivated to enjoy a myriad of new and exciting opportunities and experiences. We pride ourselves on the individual attention we offer every child, whatever their age and whatever their needs.
Our mission is clear, our promise secure, and our commitment is genuine and unwavering. We are a school that listens, and every child’s voice is heard. Our open-door approach helps foster a refreshingly honest, active and forward-thinking school community.
This website will give you a first glimpse of the Thorpe Hall adventure, but the School is best experienced in person. You are most welcome to visit us for a tour of our School and a chat with our team.
We look forward to meeting your family.

Our Senior art students have had a great time creating portraits of our Headteacher today - and as it's Comic Relief, they've let their imaginations run wild!
Mr Duckitt was impressed by them all, but his favourite was the piece from Emmanuel in Year 9. Well done everyone! ... See MoreSee Less

I’m afraid I have to disagree. Sophie’s portrait topped it for me!
Wow, some real talent!

Our students were treated to a bit of silliness from a group of brave staff members at THS this morning! Thanks to everyone who got involved in our Flash Mob for Comic Relief - we hope you enjoy the video

Year 5 enjoyed a visit to Southend's Central Museum earlier this month and had a fabulous day! The children enjoyed a guided tour of the Prittlewell Princely Burial exhibit, led by the museum curator, and found out all about the earliest Anglo-Saxon Christian burial to have been discovered in England, dating to before the Augustinian mission of AD 597. They also experienced a hands on Anglo-Saxon's artefacts workshop, where they had to work out who the person might have been from investigating the artefacts, and finally they took part in a creative workshop making an Anglo/Saxon inspired pendant. Thanks Southend Museums for a great experience!
