We will arrange for your child to spend some time with us.
We will arrange for your child to spend the day with us (other than for children entering the school at the beginning of Year 7), during which he/she will be assessed to ensure an education at Thorpe Hall School is appropriate for them. There is no additional cost for this day visit (lunch included) as it is covered by your Registration Fee.
For our Prep School, this is extended to two days and for our Nursery, the ‘settling-in’ sessions can be arranged over a number of days to suit the needs of the child/ren.
For entry at the beginning of Year 7: no day visits will be arranged; instead, a full written school report is required.
Subject to a successful visit, the school will offer you a place for your child
We will invite you to complete the relevant documentation for admission.
To complete the application process and secure a place, parents/guardians are required sign a contract with the school and pay a deposit.
For entry into Reception to Year 11, the deposit is £1,000.
This deposit is returnable when you leave the school, provided the required notice has been given.
Admission is offered to children who satisfy the entry criteria and are deemed to be suitable recipients of a Thorpe Hall School education.
Places are offered to completed applications on a first come, first served basis with the following exceptions: preference is given to children of staff, siblings of current pupils, siblings of ex-pupils.
The school will also give priority to creating a balance of genders. All decision will be made on the school’s ability to meet the educational needs of each child applying for a place.
