Thorpe Hall School is located in the beautiful and popular Thorpe Bay area of the city of Southend-on-Sea, which is on the Thames Estuary in South East Essex. Our spacious surroundings and proximity to the beautiful beaches at Thorpe Bay provide a wonderful extension of our school grounds and facilities, and the school is easy to reach by car, train and bus.
Thorpe Hall School is easily accessible by car with parking and drop off areas on site. The school is located by the Bournes Green roundabout at the end of Southchurch Boulevard. It’s a short drive from central Southend, Shoebury and Great Wakering and just 25 minutes drive from Leigh on Sea.
We run a daily shuttle bus to and from West Leigh, Leigh and Chalkwell for children in Years 4 – 11. This service is bookable termly or for individual days, providing a convenient and flexible option for families. Students love travelling together, taking in the seafront views on this calm, safe and stress-free start and end to their day. And no school run or public transport worries for parents!
Thorpe Bay enjoys good access by bus, provided by Arriva Shires & Essex including the number 1, 4(a), 7, 8 and 9.
TrainThorpe Hall School is a just short stroll from Thorpe Bay train station, which is on the reliable c2c line. This is a direct line from central London, taking just approx. 46 minutes from West Ham and just over an hour from Fenchurch Street.
Greater Anglia trains come into Southend Victoria station, which is a 15 minute bus ride away. This line serves Rochford, Rayleigh and Hockley, and goes all the way to London Liverpool Street in around 1 hour.
