Thorpe Hall School Features on New Southend-on-Sea Monopoly Board

Thorpe Hall School is proud to announce its inclusion in the newly launched Southend-on-Sea Monopoly board, unveiled this morning at the Palace Theatre.

The official release marks a major moment for the city, as more than 30 of Southend’s most iconic landmarks and organisations take their place on a bespoke edition of the world famous board game. Among those featured are the Southend Pier, Cliffs Pavilion and the Central Museum and Planetarium.

We are delighted to reveal that Thorpe Hall School has its very own square on the board, recognising its place within the local community.

To celebrate the occasion, three of our Prep pupils, Rosie, Nathan and Aidan, attended the launch event, representing the school at this exciting city wide milestone.

The special edition has been carefully designed to reflect the character and spirit of Southend-on-Sea. Even classic Monopoly features have been given a local twist, including transport spaces that now highlight key travel hubs such as the local airport and train stations. Community Chest and Chance cards have also been customised, incorporating unique local references and experiences.

The board’s release has been timed to coincide with Easter 2026 and is now available to purchase both online and in local stores, including Toys N Tuck, Waterstones and The Boardgame Hut.
This exciting collaboration celebrates the very best of Southend-on-Sea, and Thorpe Hall School is honoured to be part of this landmark edition of the iconic game.
