The Seaglass is Thorpe Hall School’s new £2.4m sports and events facility.  It was opened in November 2018 by five-time Olympic medalist Max Whitlock  MBE.

Headteacher Andrew Hampton said: “What we have in The Seaglass is a state-of-the-art building which will become iconic in the landscape and culture of Southend and South Essex. It represents another huge leap forward in the facilities and educational provision at Thorpe Hall School as well as providing an outstanding multi-use space for community clubs, groups, functions and events”.

The new facility is available to hire for recurring or one off events, including clubs, classes, conferences, parties and functions. The centre includes a multi-functional Sports and Events Hall, learning spaces and rooms, a bespoke Dance Studio and a Fitness Suite.
