Senior School 11-16

Welcome

Welcome to Our Senior School

Our Senior School takes children from age 11 to 16 (School Years 7 to 11).

The Senior School at Thorpe Hall is a busy, vibrant place where pupils are encouraged to be themselves and celebrate intellectual freedom, determination, and leadership. We encourage all our pupils to discover their passions and interests and pursue them to the highest standards.

Class sizes here are small and tailored to enable us to monitor and assess each child’s progress regularly and give them abundant opportunities to participate in learning experiences. Ours is a school that values effort as much as achievement, compassion as much as confidence, and spirit as much as ability.

At Thorpe Hall School, we firmly believe that the happier a child is, the more successful the child becomes. We make no apology for fostering individualism, but we always balance this with a powerful community ethos and a culture of high expectation. In nurturing confidence, perseverance, tolerance and integrity and by embracing creativity, we promote an open-minded and outward-looking philosophy so that our pupils are ready to contribute to their school and the wider community positively.

The journey through Senior School is the opportunity to experience and develop the characteristics and attributes that will stand our pupils in the greatest stead for the rest of their lives.  They will leave here with a distinguished academic record, a clear moral compass, a strong sense of who they are and confident aspirations for their future.

“Everyone fits in at Thorpe Hall School.”

“My daughter moved to Thorpe Hall School in Year 7. I cannot begin to explain how we immediately noticed a different young lady at home. More confident, happy to talk about school and a teenager buzzing with excitement. Nothing has changed ever since.”
