The Seaglass Centre, Thorpe Hall School’s new sports and events facility, was opened in November 2018 by five-time Olympic medalist Max Whitlock  MBE.

The £2.4m centre includes a Fitness Suite, Dance Studio, Sports Hall and multiple learning spaces designed to keep pace with the growing needs of the school.

Headteacher Andrew Hampton said: “What we have in The Seaglass is a state-of-the-art building which will become iconic in the landscape and culture of Southend and South Essex. It represents another huge leap forward in the facilities and educational provision at Thorpe Hall School as well as providing an outstanding multi-use space for community clubs, groups, functions and events”.

The new facility is available to hire.
