An approach to help girls navigate the often troubled waters of friendship problems.

The Girls on Board approach has been adopted by many schools – state and private, primary and secondary – right across the UK. It was created by Thorpe Hall School’s Headteacher, Andrew Hampton, who now helps other schools use the approach. Girls on Board empowers girls to resolve their conflicts for themselves and has proved very successful in supporting girls when friendship issues arise.

The best way to find out more about the Girls on Board approach is to watch the 5 minute explainer video which you find on the Girls on Board website . You can also download a copy of the parent guide here.

Thorpe Hall school was shortlisted by the TES Independent School Awards in the category of Wellbeing Initiative of the Year 2019 in recognition of the success and effectiveness of Girls on Board.
