Thorpe Hall School launches two mobile apps

Thorpe Hall School has launched two mobile apps this week designed to work together to make communication with parents regarding all aspects of school life more efficient, instant and accessible.

Thorpe Hall School App – School News and Updates

For parents with children in all year groups – from Nursery to Year 11.  News, events and bulletins and important messages relating to the whole school or to a child’s specific year group will all be found here. This includes information regarding trips, clubs, fixtures and all other day to day messages, all posted straight to parent’s mobile devices.

The SIMS Parent App – for Upper School Curriculum and Performance

For parents with children in Upper School. Parents can access important information regarding the curriculum and their child’s individual educational programme and progress. This includes school reports, information on attendance and behaviour as well as homework and achievement.

Downloading and Getting Started

  1. Thorpe Hall School App

Visit the Apple app store or Google Play on your device and search for “Thorpe Hall School “.
You may download the app onto multiple devices but will need to install separately on each one.

1. Start by visiting the Settings page (reached via ‘More’ tile on Homepage) and turn on the year groups you are interested in. The app will then alert you to relevant messages in these categories.
Please leave the Urgent alerts category turned on. This is for messages from the school to everyone about urgent matters.
2. The Alerts tile contains a record of the alert messages you have been sent by the school. The circular counter on the app shows how many Unread messages you have.
3. It is a good idea to close the app when not in use. This allows content to refresh and you will not miss anything urgent since alert messages will pop up on your phone even when the app is off.

2. The SIMS Parent App – Applicable to Upper School Only
