2017 ISA Awards Finalists – for Early Years & Senior Provision
Thorpe Hall School is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted by the Independent Schools Association (ISA) for excellence and innovation awards in two categories.
The awards celebrate the breadth of quality and provision across the country, showcasing the very best of independent school education in England. Thorpe Hall is a double finalist, shortlisted for the Early Years Award for Excellence and Innovation and the Senior School Award for Academic Excellence and Innovation. Winners will be announces at The Autumn Conference in November.
Headteacher Andrew Hampton commented: “I’m thrilled to see the extent and calibre of our provision recognised by the ISA and I’m reaching the finals is down to a number of factors. Our Seniors, for example, are offered more pathways at GCSE than any other independent in the area and we can better accommodate their individual preferences. We provide exceptional extra-curricular opportunities such as the Academic Society trips and workshops and the Choice activities on a Wednesday afternoon now run to over 50 different activities offered since the initiative first launched in 2009. We are equally proud of our excellent early learning provision and the work of staff in Nursery and Lower School. Our Nursery children learn French, practice Yoga, Dance, Cook, discover Music and explore Forest and Beech Schools, all taught by specialists”.
