Welcome to Thorpe Hall School
Thorpe Hall School is a non-selective, co-educational, independent day school with small class sizes, excellent facilities and outstanding results. A modern school with the traditional values of hard work, respect and good manners.
Founded in 1925 in Thorpe Hall Avenue, the school moved to its present site in 1989 and has steadily added to its buildings and facilities since then. Recent projects include the completion of our Norris Building in 2006 which contains a fully-equipped, 250 seat Theatre, a media centre, workshops for Design / Technology and Food / Textiles, and an Art Studio. in 2008 we undertook a major refurbishment of our Nursery and opened an outdoor classroom and dedicated garden area for the under 5s. In the summer of 2009 the school acquired a commercial scale print solution to support our Enterprise GCSE.
We are a child-centred school with a singular focus on teaching and learning. We educate children to be strong independent learners who are stimulated and inspired by daily life at school. We use state of the art information technology to accelerate learning and increase pupil engagement in education.
Thorpe Hall pupils enjoy a school which has small class sizes, excellent facilities and space in which to express themselves, learn and play.
If you would like to see the school for yourself ring the school and ask for an appointment to see me - I will be delighted to meet you and show you round this wonderful school.
